Looking out over the Chianti from Lamole. Looks like some lens glare!
I took my Mamiya 645 which alllowed me to shoot color and black and white with changeable film backs. I carried a 45 mm f3.5 wide angle lens and an 80mm f1.9 normal lens.
A photo my brother took years ago in Tucson Arizona of a variety of desert plants amongst some rocks has made me conscious of what I call Natural Still-life. Trying to find satisfying compositions in the wild of a variety of things and composing a photo from that.
Along the trail there were some rocks with lichen attached and a mixture of ferns and other small plants. Being early spring a profusion of growth had not yet arrived to clutter the scene. Some sunlight provided a highlight on a patch of white lichen.
There is lots going on in the shot and I think 8x10 may not do it justice. I think later I will try it at 12x16. This print required me to burn the parts in the sun to recover the detail in the white lichen and the trees in the middle ground on the right.
